Horatio Todd OBE was a renowned East Belfast pharmacist in the late 1800s, famed for his innovative products like the Victory Powders, which gained fans across Northern Ireland, including Queen Mary. As the first president of the Pharmaceutical Association of Northern Ireland, a Justice of the Peace, and a recipient of the OBE, Horatio left a lasting legacy.
Known for his impeccable style and clever self-promotion, he marketed his products with slogans like “If it’s the best you want, I have it.” Today, Horatio Todd’s Bar & Restaurant celebrates his remarkable story, bringing his spirit of excellence to life in a vibrant setting from morning to night. Look out for original artifacts from his pharmacy in the bar!
